When receiving goods from Freight Carrier, you or your representative are responsible for inspecting and receiving the goods. Count ALL pieces noted are ‘present and in good order and condition' BEFORE signing as such on the consignment note.
Any damages or shortages MUST be: •1) Noted on the consignment note; •2) the Driver informed; •3)reported to us with regard to status of the goods. (ie. Returned to depot or held at delivery address.) Once the consignment note has been signed as being ‘received in good order and condition', the goods are no longer covered by carrier’s insurance. Any claims for alleged damage outside of these conditions will be deemed Invalid. Any claims for damages within these conditions will be processed and investigated before replacement goods are dispatched.
These terms do not apply to most of our Auckland customers, as our own Staff deliver in this area.
